1. FEP, F46 (fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer) non-stick coatings melt and flow during baking to form a non-porous film, with excellent chemical stability and non-stick properties, maximum use temperature of 200 °C, melting point of 270 °C, injection molding, extrusion molding
2. The non-stick coating PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) can be used continuously at 260°C, with a maximum operating temperature of 290-320°C, and has an extremely low friction coefficient, good wear resistance, and excellent chemical stability. It can’t be injected, but it can be extruded or coated.
As a result, PTFE is far more practical than FEP. The reason is simple: PTFE has better temperature resistance, anti-corrosion performance, and anti-stick performance than FEP due to its properties. However, due to cost considerations, FEP material is a good choice if the requirements aren’t too stringent and only require friction resistance.
